The SNACC (Sunnyside Neighborhood Association Community Cares) Committee started up in the cold dark winter of 2020 in recognition of the importance of taking care of the unhoused residents of our neighborhood.  Since then, we’ve built on-going community programs that benefit all residents and learned a lot.  Join us for a frank discussion and learn how to get involved.

Volunteering!

Hawthorne Street Fair Garbage Patrol

Date: Sunday, August 22nd 2021   10am-8:00 pm

Inner Southeast Action volunteers are needed to keep the Street Fair clean and beautiful. The Hawthorne Blvd Business Association was in a bind because their normal vendor couldn't help. So they offered us a donation to take it on. A great chance to gather some funds for future projects and help out at a local event.

Please contact Brighton@Brightonwestvideo.com if you have questions.

Sign up for a 2 hour volunteer shift here.

A slow paced social bike ride on SE Greenways
Time: Saturday August 7th at 10:30am

Location: Ladd's Circle, across from Palio's Cafe

When was the last time you met someone new? Put on a nametag and meet your neighbors on this "rebuilding social connections" ride. If you're new to Portland or just looking to connect with other people outside your "bubble" please join us. This will be a slow and easy ride focused on talking with each other and socializing more than getting anywhere in particular. We'll be riding on greenways in SE Portland and ending at a food cart pod where we can have a meal and drinks with our new best friends. Please come with the intention and mindspace for meeting new people and creating connections. This is totally NOT a singles event, but who knows who you may meet!
